How to add links to your blog from commission junction

Adding affiliate link codes to your site is really easy with commission junction.  Oops!  I forgot, now commission junction is called cj.com.  The process for adding links to your site is still the same through

You just need to log into your cj.com account and find the offers that you want to promote.  You have to get approved to get access to the links.

There are two different types of link codes that you can add.  You can add the javascript version or the html version.  The different vendors may have different types of links.  Some will provide banner ads and text ads.  Just check to see the type of ad that you want to use and copy the code.

Take a look at your site and think about where you want to place the code.  Some people like to place ads on individual blog posts.  You have to think about how many times the ad will get viewed by your audience.  Placing the ad on a blog post means that it will only show up when that blog post is viewed.  If you place the ad on the front page of your site, it will get viewed each time someone visits the front page.

Where are you going to place your new code on your site?  There is the header location at the top of the page.  There is the sidebar locations which may be on the right or left side of the page, some web designs even have both sidebars available.  You could post the ad code inside of the article body or the footer at the bottom of the page.

Adding a link is really as simple as copy and paste.  Just highlight the code and copy it into the clipboard of your computer.  Open your site and paste the code into the area that you choose.  Save your work and refresh your page to see that the ad is showing up correctly.  It really is just that simple.
